It is with bittersweet emotions that we introduce you to our beloved families.
In them all, we see our own mothers, brothers, children and grandparents. Their struggles are our struggles and we love them all dearly. We hope for our family to grow beyond the four we are currently supporting. This will only be possible through the people's movement - through you.
In their own words...
"I am Abdullah from Gaza, displaced from the north to the south. I, my sister Yasmine, Ghazal, Yasser, are in southern Gaza, and the rest of the family, my mother, my father, my brother Muhammad, and my brother Amr are in the north. We need your help to get out to safety, as well as daily supplies, as the winter season has come. My sister Yasmine's baby is due in a month and we need help as soon as possible with to prepare for childbirth, and for daily survival for all of us. Thank you to everyone who wants to stand by our side."
Greed, Grief & Genocide
On August 24th, we received a desperate plea for help from Ahmed. He and his family had fallen victim to a heartbreaking GoFundMe fraud, losing $4,500—a story of injustice that demanded action. We reached out to Mrs. Lydia three separate times, begging her to release the funds, but she refused. We filed an official complaint with GoFundMe and reported the fraud, hoping for justice. Yet, our pleas have gone unanswered. We are still waiting, left in silence. Determined to seek justice, we took legal steps, reaching out to a lawyer for support. In the meantime, two other families from the same camp came forward, revealing they too were victims of fraud at the hands of Mrs. Lydia. Their pain echoed Ahmed’s, amplifying the weight of this injustice. Our fight to recover their funds continues. These families deserve to be heard—it's time for their voices to rise and for their story to be told.
"I've lost my hearing ...
I am Ahmed Abu Kamil from northern Gaza. I was displaced to southern Gaza under indiscriminate bombardment. I and my family, which number 9 people, may be injured by the occupation while escaping. In my face and hands, I lost hearing in my right ear from the injury. I want urgent treatment. Also, my sisters are university students. They want their right to education and also to look at the situation of my family without a tent or shelter. We also want to go out to safety and we ask you to help us to get the fastest time for me and my family."
Haitham's Dream
After their home was demolished, like many other families, Haitham now lives in a tent with his parents and siblings.
Now in Rafah, the situation is getting worse by the day. Not long ago when we spoke to him, he told us they are often surviving on only a daily packet of "crisps". Your donations can not only help this family to evacuate somewhere safe, but help them access food, water and essential supplies in the meantime while the price gouging rages due to Isr*e1's cruel aid blockades.
